Tails and Ales

This celebration of fur babies kicks off with a photo contest then segways into live music and a pet trick and costume contest. Trick or treat and Blossom Halloween Carnival
California Avenue comes alive as families from all over the Palo Alto area gather to celebrate Halloween. This event is filled with parades, live music, and kid friendly activities the whole family can enjoy. There is, of course, plenty of candy to be had for trick or treaters. This year features award winning children's musician Andy Z.
Dia de Los Muertos Celebration
It's that time of year again in Redwood City! Come celebrate the Day of the Dead with beautiful altars, incredible food, and live music. The streets will be filled with crafts, free activities, and all sorts of entertainment to take part in and marvel at. This cultural holiday has proven to be a huge hit year after year, so come join in on the fun.
Kids Carnival and Oktoberfest
Oktoberfest is usually reserved for adults, but this event in nearby Redwood City is filled with fun activities for the whole family. Kid's can enjoy a haunted house, petting zoo, face painting and a bounce house alongside a slew of exciting activities. Live music will be provided by the Elks Club Band and local musicians Rock n Soul. Chow down on delicious grilled bratwurst, try a craft beer, and see who wins the Potato Salad cook off. There's even a classic car show!
Create the Change Day
If you're looking to lend a helping hand this Fall season, then Create The Change is the best place to do so. Whether you are packing hygiene kits for people in need, assembling food bags for crisis victims, or making craft holiday cards for the home-bound, this event is all about giving to others. There will be live music, entertainment, and raffle prizes as well.
17th Annual Art in Clay Show
The Orchard Valley Ceramic Arts Guild is hosting their Art in Clay show once again this Fall. Over 50 local artists will have their handmade ceramics on display. This event features everything from traditional styles to contemporary and even some off the wall designs that take quite the creative mind to make. Considered one of the Bay Area's finest arts and crafts shows, this is the place to pick up one of a kind pieces for your home or for a holiday gift.
Holiday Gift Boutique
On November 11th from 10 am to 4 pm, All Saints Church will be hosting their Holiday Gift Boutique. Over 20 vendors come together to offer one of a kind jewelry, hand woven goods, works of art and more with a Christmas theme. A portion of proceeds goes to the Church's various outreach programs, and one lucky shopper will win $100. This is another excellent choice for finding unique Christmas gifts and decorations for your home.
Halloween ComicFest 2017
Welcome to the intersection of spooky and geeky. Halloween Comicfest is filled to the brim with comics from top authors in all genres, even featuring a variety of first editions, and enough collectibles to fill a mansion from floor to ceiling. Make sure to put your finest cosplay together, there will be a costume contest with major cash and loot prizes. Plus, five participants will be chosen at random to win hundreds of dollars to spend at their local comic shop.
South Bay Fall Festival
What better way to bring in the Fall season than with a free celebration for all things Fall? Head over to South Bay on October the 28th anytime between 10 am and 12:30 pm to take part in a day of games and entertainment, complete with candy. December 9th in San Pedro Square is a craft lover's dream thanks to Makers Market. Halloween Costume Party at Mulakat Hall
For those who can't get enough of all things Halloween, Mulakat Hall in Newark is hosting a monstrous bash starting at 7 pm. Tickets are only $15, which include appetizers and dinner, and guests are asked to dress up in their favorite costumes. There will plenty of dancing and a great party vibe. This event is on Halloween night, so get ready to get scary.
