    December 29, 2018

    new years Eve celebration

New Year’s Eve is a scant few days away, so if you haven’t already made plans, it’s pretty safe to say you might be scrambling at the moment. Thankfully, if you happen to have a place for rent in Mountain View, CA, there are more than a few last-minute options for you to take advantage of around town, as far as dinner and parties are concerned, at least. If you want to take your loved ones out for a New Year’s Eve dinner that’ll exceed your typical expectations, be sure to add some of these close-to-home spots to your last-minute list.

Where to Go for New Year’s Eve

While you might expect that everything would be closed up on New Year’s Eve (and much of it will be) there are still plenty of places to party hardy for the New Year, and just enough time for you to get ready to go out and have a great time at one of the celebrations that will be ringing in 2019. Here are just a few fine examples…

Get Glitzy at the Opal Nightclub

The Opal Nightclub in Mountain View is one of Silicon Valley’s most upscale nighttime venues, and among the very best of the Bay Area. From the chill dress code to the superb location on Castro Street, everything about it speaks to the pinnacle of what a night out should be. This New Year’s Eve, they’ll be hosting Glitz, the single biggest NYE party in the whole of Silicon Valley.

Whether you’re going as a VIP or just getting a regular ticket to the event, Glitz will be the location for great drinks, great music, and loads of fun. Doors will open at 8:30PM, at which time you can enjoy the happy hour with blaring tunes, courtesy of DJ Spotify. There will be plenty more to do and see as the night rolls on, and a special blast once the clock strikes midnight, so be sure to head down and check it out.

Be a Trailblazer at the Park James’ First Ever New Year

The Park James, one of Silicon Valley’s newest, sleekest, and most technologically advanced hotels, is holding their very first New Year’s Eve celebration, and you’re invited. Taking place in the Park James’ fabulous courtyard will be an inaugural celebration for the ages, complete with drinks, dancing, and music from DJ Ken Brown, a veteran of the San Francisco scene with more than 25 years of experience. Capping it off will be an epic champagne toast at midnight, making this one of the ritziest NYE bashes in the whole of the Bay Area.

Enjoy the Time of the Year at Vina Enoteca

When it comes to having one of the best Italian selections in town, few can match Vina Enoteca’s delicious offerings. For New Year’s Eve excitement this year, you’ll probably be able to make a similar claim about the upscale establishment, as they’re throwing a NYE bash to knock the socks off of all challengers.

This party doesn’t come cheap (it’s $110 per head) but it certainly won’t disappoint either. You’ll be able to enjoy a heaping helping of various food stations, with appetizers, pizza, pasta, delicious entrees, and wine galore. There will even be a cash bar and whiskey tastings available for an additional fee. Sparkling wine comes complementary at midnight, and tunes from DJ Eternal will help you and yours rock the night away as you dance and sing to your heart’s content.

Bring in the New Year Bollywood Style

If you don’t mind booking it up to Redwood City for the evening, you can bring in the New Year “Bollywood style” with your friends at Broadway Masala. You might know these guys best for their fine Indian fare and vegan menu options, but come December 31st, you’ll get to see the establishment in a new light as they couple their appetizers and Biryani buffet with a happening DJ and a night of dancing. There will be a cash bar and midnight champagne toast to accompany the night of fun, so come expecting a proper NYE celebration.

Have a Red Carpet New Year at the Hilton

Silicon Valley Social Events has a penchant for putting on high octane, high quality gatherings, and their Red Carpet Ball at the Hilton Garden Inn will be no exception. Prepare to mix and mingle in your finest threads, while DJ Powers blasts the soundtrack to your cocktail-fueled evening. You’ll be able to socialize, meet new friends, forge alliances among the bold and beautiful of Silicon Valley, just make sure you do so in elegant fashion — no jeans or athletic shoes allowed.

Strut Your Stuff at the Caribbean Gala

If you’re over so-called “regular” NYE parties, you’ll need to kick things up a notch this year. In that case, the Aloft hotel in Cupertino is more than happy to oblige, as their Caribbean Gala promises to “turn up the heat” in every regard and set New Year’s Eve on fire. LemoLive will be bringing in the hottest mix of Soca, Calypso and Reggae music, while you and your fellow NYE revelers get steamy on the dance floor, grooving to the energy of the immense crowd. Food and drinks will be in plentiful supply, so you’ll have plenty to keep the party going, and this year’s “theme” is black and silver, so you’ll need an appropriately-tinted outfit to match the party too.
